Career Bites – Meet Top Talent from the University of Excellence Right at Your Doorstep
With Career Bites, we bring KIT students directly to your company for a brief, two-hour visit. In a relaxed, one-on-one setting over lunch, participants gain authentic insights into your work environment and potential career paths.
As a company based in Karlsruhe and the surrounding area, you’ll establish early contact with qualified talent and support career entry locally. We’ll schedule your preferred date in the KIT Career Service event calendar and handle registration. On the day of the event, a Career Service staff member will accompany the students to your company visit.

How to prepare a Career Bite?
A well-prepared Career Bite leaves a lasting impression on students. Here’s how to make the most of the day:
- Describe the insights students will gain from your session.
- Mention which fields of study are particularly relevant to your company.
Tips for the on-site schedule- Plan a short tour to introduce workstations and the team.
- For example, give a brief presentation on a project or topic you’re currently working on.
- During a closing lunch break or meal, provide an opportunity for students to interact with selected employees, managers, and someone from HR.

Procedure
This is how the Career Bite works:
- Schedule a time slot for a Career Bite, a short presentation about your company, your department, your preferred fields of study, and the maximum number of participants.
- Career Bites always take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
- Students register for your Career Bite via the event calendar
- Shortly before the event, you will receive the number of registered students
- On-site, provide exciting insights into your daily work routine.
- After the Career Bite, stay in touch—for internships or career entry.
