In addition to the fair, we offer many other events and workshops as well as the Career Service portal with a job exchange and other helpful tools. Feel free to check us out.
How do you select companies to participate in the KIT Career Fair?
We do not make a selection: Companies and institutions that want to meet and hire KIT students book their paid participation in the fair. The first-come-first-served principle applies to the limited places. To ensure that a balanced mix of industries is covered, we allocate the available places according to the fields of study you are looking for. In this way, the KIT Career Fair is intended to provide offers for students of all disciplines.

Why are there no booths like at a classical fair?
What everyone missed during the Corona period was the direct and uncomplicated personal contact; this was shown to us by the feedback after three virtual fairs. With the new trade fair concept, we are focusing on informal and relaxed exchange - for example, at the table soccer game in the pavilion, while waiting in line at the food truck or at the beer benches around the lecture area. No one can hide behind designed exhibition walls, everything should be open and dynamic. The sustainability aspect also plays a role: less transport logistics, less waste, less energy consumption than at classic trade fairs. We see the KIT Career Fair 2023 as a new beginning and are curious to see how you like it.
How do I recognize who belongs to which company?
We recommend that the company representatives put on company shirts so that you can identify them at first glance. In addition, the company name is written on the respective name badges.
Where can I find contact information for the companies?
In each pavilion you will find an overview wall on which companies are listed that are looking in this field. The contact persons present can leave their contact details here. In addition, you can of course view the profiles of the respective companies in the Career Service Portal and find contact information there.
How can I later find someone I spoke to on the grounds?
Guides from the Career Service team will be on hand at all pavilions and at check-in to help you find someone again. Or you can leave your own short message on the overview board at the company in question. Pens and pads are available at check-in.
How can companies tell what I am studying?
Our tip: Get a festival ribbon in the color of your department pavilion at check-in. This will show which direction you are coming from, and you can be approached by suitable companies. The ribbons are a voluntary offer.
